Peter Barnes - A Family Business
Situated in the village of Murrow just outside of Wisbech, the business was founded in 1951 by the late Alfred Sidney Barnes. Peter took over the business when his dad passed away in 1962 and has owned and managed the business ever since, assisted by his wife Sheila and more recently by his daughter Diane and son-in-law John Almey.

After over 70 years of serving the area with all of their funeral needs Peter Barnes Funerals have gone GREEN, having now taken delivery of their brand new hybrid hearse and Limouisine supplied by Coleman and Milne who are specialists in funeral vehicles. We understand this is the first Hybrid fleet in the area.
Mr Barnes said we are now looking forward to continuing our service to the community whilst also helping to improve the environment within which we all live.
